In the stillness of the Southern Jarrah Forest, a fierce moment unfolds — a mother Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo launching into flight to defend her nesting hollow against a small group of prospecting Baudin’s Cockatoos. Depicting a real-life encounter deep in the forest, this design preserves that raw, instinctive act of protection that speaks to the urgency of survival.

More than just a silhouette, this shirt tells a true story of the threatened white-tailed cockatoos of the South West, where every hollow is precious, and every nesting attempt a battle against the odds.

Drawn directly from my own photographs captured deep in the Southern Jarrah Forest, this artwork is a personal tribute to the birds and landscapes I work to protect. It carries story, memory, and a deep connection to country.
